Wild Salsa has re-opened at its original Cowtown locale at 300 Throckmorton at City Place Center. The Mexico City-inspired restaurant is now open for dinner on Tuesdays — Thursdays — Fridays — and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Originally opened in Dallas in 2011, Wild Salsa expanded to Fort Worth’s downtown area in 2016. However, the pandemic, like so many other businesses, forced this restaurant concept to shut down — try for four years. Rumors of Wild Salsa’s return would circulate from time to time, but nothing was verified. In June, DRG Concepts, Wild Salsa’s parent company, verified that the restaurant would in fact be open again, this time with a special menu for dinner service only.

Some of the cuisine being served at the newly revamped restaurant includes dishes like Sonoran Chicken Enchiladas, Grilled Arrachera Steak Fajitas, Grilled Mahi Mahi, and Chipotle Shrimp Tacos to name a few.

Per its libations, Wild Salsa also has an impressive Tequila menu that includes Smoked Oaxacan, Fresa Caliente, El Flamenco, and Wild Salsa's signature Wild Rita. Wild Salsa also offers complimentary valet parking on Throckmorton and parking in the City Place Center garage.

Since first opening in Dallas, Wild Salsa has won Best New Restaurant list honors from D Magazine, and Dallas Morning News Reader’s Choice accolades, as well as recommendations from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

“The Wild Salsa experience takes regional Mexican cuisine to new levels of energy and flavorful adventure - deliberately different in excellence and relentless quality,” according to a release. “The concept dives deep into the authentic traditions of Mexican cuisine with ingredients that are fresh, and mostly local from Texas.”
