he Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown recently reopened following an upgrade, one that put it in sync with the brand's new design. Operated by Aimbridge Hospitality, the hotel underwent a $50 million transformation that a press release says was one of the largest-ever hotel renovations in the Fort Worth region.

It's part of a nationwide transformation of several Sheraton hotels, including includes Denver, Phoenix, San Diego, Waikiki, Hawaii, and others.

Located at 1701 Commerce St., the 403-room hotel now has new meeting conference spaces, upgraded rooms, new fitness center, and a 200-seat restaurant, West + Stone.

There's an upgraded pool (featured in this pool roundup), as well as new bar (featured in this bar roundup). Let it never be said that CultureMap Fort Worth is not down with the Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown.

“Nearly every inch of the hotel has been upgraded from the original design, from the lobby to the top floor Trinity-suite," says General Manager Damien O’Connor in a statement.

Dining options include:

the above-mentioned restaurant-bar West+Stone, which serves elevated entrees, such as Birria Short Ribs, Spiked Shrimp Torta, and Texas Tostaditas. You can always tell a restaurant is striving for seriousness if it has a + sign in its name. The menu was put together by Aimbridge Hospitality's "Taste + Theory" management team — and yes, they also have a + sign in their name! The plot thickens.
&More by Sheraton, which offers an all-day menu and assorted beverages for in-hotel dining or takeaway.
“We want to create a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable experience,” says Director of Sales and Marketing Courtney Towson. “We designed the layout and curated amenities to bring people together so that they may share ideas and tell stories over a meal or craft cocktail.”

The newly modernized rooms feature platform beds, 55-inch TVs, adjustable work tables, numerous charging outlets and power sources, and much-larger bathrooms.

They've also expanded their suite offerings to 37 – up from a previous 25 – including one new suite with more than 1,000 square feet: The top-floor Trinity Suite featuring a large parlor and two bedrooms with king-sized beds.

“We have, in almost every way possible, built a brand-new hotel,” O’Connor says. “The same excellent location close to everything Fort Worth has to offer, but completely new from the lobby to the top-floor suites."
