TRWD Flyfest Hosts Celebrity Fish Challenge Tomorrow on the Trinity River

WHAT: TRWD is inviting ten community “celebrities” angling for a little adventure to fish in the TRWD Flyfest Celebrity Fish Challenge on the day before the festival to have their hand at the trout before the public. The contestants will have the first run at approximately 1,800 lbs. of trout stocked in the Trinity River. The team that pulls out the most trout wins a $500 donation to the charity of their choice. This year’s contestants are fishing for many great causes including Eastside Blossoms, United Way Support for Music, Fort Worth SPARC, Punching out Parkinson’s, Veterans Xtreme Adventures and Texas Reel Recovery.

WHERE: In the Clear Fork of the Trinity River near Bryant Irvin behind the Acme Brick Headquarters 3024 Acme Brick Plaza, Fort Worth, TX 76109

SPECIAL NOTE: Friday’s Celebrity Fish Challenge is meant to promote TRWD Flyfest which will be held on Saturday March 13th from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. TRWD invites the public to come out to this FREE community festival featuring expert presentations, casting demonstrations, fly tying demonstrations, contests, food trucks, wine tastings, live music, craft beer and much more!
