Trinity Bicycles to Open in Sundance Square
October 24,2011
Trinity Bicycles announced today that it will move its business to a 1550 square foot space at 343 Throckmorton Street in Sundance Square.
"This is a tremendous opportunity for us to move our business to the heart of downtown Fort Worth, Sundance Square," Trinity Bicycles owner Bernie Scheffler said. "As Fort Worth's premier shop for bicycle commuters, a downtown location is an ideal fit for us."
Trinity Bicycles has made a name for itself as one of the few shops in Texas promoting bicycle transportation through education and advocacy, but it sells more than just commuting bikes. Trinity sells and repairs all types of bikes, from high-end competition machines, to daily commuters, to various styles of comfortable bikes perfect for enjoying Fort Worth's Trinity River Trail system or just cruising the neighborhood.
In addition to expanding its retail and repair operations, Trinity Bicycles expects its downtown location to be the perfect spot to expand its bicycle rental business for Fort Worth visitors who want to see the city's iconic red brick streets and historic buildings from a slightly different type of saddle than the one cowtown is known for.
" Exploring this beautiful city is more fun on a bike, and we'll be just a few blocks' walk from all the downtown hotels," Scheffler said.
Trinity's presence downtown will fill a void left by the departure of Cromer's Ace Cycles decades ago, one which residents and commercial tenants downtown have noticed.
" Trinity Bicycles adds a perfect niche to Sundance Square's long list of service merchants," said Johnny Campbell, president of Sundance Square. "This fulfills a need expressed by our customers who live and work downtown. We believe Trinity Bicycles will quickly become a favorite downtown spot."
