Traffic Improvements on W 7th, Summit, and Penn Streets begin February 12

In order to improve current rush hour traffic issues, traffic signals will be upgraded at the intersection of W 7th and Summit Streets and W 7th and Penn Streets. The upgrade will also help in minimizing equipment failures. Work will begin on February 12th, 2018, and should be completed within two weeks.

The signal upgrades will include replacing the signal indications including installation of Flashing Yellow Arrows (FYA), traffic signal controller/cabinet, signal cable, and mast arms at some corners to allow installation of FYA indications. Installation of FYA is the key to operational flexibility and enhancement.
