The 2025 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo kicked off with the annual ‘All Western’ parade in downtown Fort Worth Saturday morning.

Thousands of spectators braved the cold winds as they lined Main Street and Houston Street to glimpse the nearly 3,000 horses walking the downtown Fort Worth streets. Among the parade participants were the Hawaii Pa’u Riders and the TCU Horned Frog Marching Band, along with various riding clubs, wagons and floats.

Megan Gay Maier and Summer Gay, of the legendary Rafter G Rodeo Company based in Terrell, led the parade. They are the next generation of a family that’s been participating in the Stock Show since 1979.

Two-time Olympic medalist and Keller native Austen Smith rode in a carriage with Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker. At the 2024 Paris Olympics Smith won bronze in individual skeet shooting and silver in mixed team skeet shooting. Smith also competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
