The T to provide bus service on Thanksgiving Day

FORT WORTH (November 20, 2014) – The T will run bus and Mobility Impaired (MITS) service on Thanksgiving Day. This holiday service will follow a Sunday schedule.
The downtown Fort Worth Molly the Trolley circulator will operate on its regular year-round hours of 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
The Trinity Railway Express (TRE) commuter rail will not operate on Thanksgiving Day, but on Friday, Nov. 28, TRE will follow a modified Saturday schedule with the addition of four early morning trains to accommodate commuters. Riding TRE will avoid traffic congestion to Parade of Lights in downtown Fort Worth, and to the Stars game at American Airlines Center. The T also will run extra Rt.7 buses at regular fares between Farrington Field and the parade.
The T’s Customer Service phone lines will not be staffed on Thanksgiving, and its Administrative offices will be closed on both Thanksgiving and on Friday, Nov. 28.

Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27 – Sunday Schedule for Bus plus Cowboy Coaches
* The T will operate Sunday service for regular bus and Mobility Impaired Services (MITS). *Molly the Trolley will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
. *TRE will not operate.
* Cowboy Coach bus service to the Cowboys – Eagles game will depart from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. from the TRE T&P Station Park and Ride lot at 200 W. Vickery Blvd. for $10 round trip and $5 cash per vehicle to park at the T&P station lot. Cowboy Coaches also pick up at Molly the Trolley stops near downtown hotels.
Friday, Nov. 28 Regular Bus and Modified TRE Service
*Regular weekday schedule for buses, Mobility Impaired Services (MITS) and Molly the Trolley on Friday, November 28.
*The Trinity Railway Express will operate a modified Saturday schedule with the addition of four early morning trains to serve commuters.
*The T Customer Service phones open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Administrative offices will be closed.
Transit to Fort Worth’s Downtown Parade of Lights Friday, Nov. 28
The T encourages use of TRE to avoid traffic congestion to and from downtown Fort Worth for the Parade of Lights by Chase that begins at 4 p.m. It’s only a two-block walk from the downtown Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC) TRE Station to Main Street. The last westbound train departs at 9:54 p.m. to Dallas with stops at all stations along the corridor. TRE schedules and fares between Fort Worth and Dallas are available from the TRE website home page at www.trinityrailwayexpress.org.
Beginning at 2 p.m. for Parade of Lights, Route 7 will add more frequent bus service from the bus stop on West Lancaster at the Farrington Field parking lot to and from downtown Fort Worth. The last Route 7 service back to Farrington Field will depart from the Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC) at 10 p.m. A round-trip bus fare requires exact change of $3.50 for adults, $1.75 for reduced fare categories (including children), and free for children under age 5 with an adult. Due to the downtown parade, Molly the Trolley will not operate after 5 p.m.
