The T’s Board Elects 2014 Officers

FORT WORTH (October 21, 2013) – At its monthly meeting today, the board of the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The T) re-elected Scott Mahaffey, president and CEO of Cohn & Gregory, Inc. as chair of The T’s board of directors for Fiscal Year 2014.

Andre’ McEwing, manager of supplier diversity, for Tarrant County College District, was elected vice chair, and Carter Burdette, an attorney, and former Fort Worth City Council member, was elected secretary.

Other returning board members sworn in for Fiscal Year 2014 are Sylvia Cervantes, Jeff Davis, Dennis Dunkins, Jeff King, Ken Newell and Neftali Ortiz.

It also was reported at the meeting that Tony Johnson, The T’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, will serve as The T’s interim President and Executive Director during the board’s search to replace Dick Ruddell who retired on Oct. 4.
