Ten on Tuesday Reverse Litter Campaign
July 31,2013
Tarrant Regional Water District, the City of Fort Worth and other partners have joined forces in the implementation of a new environmental campaign in Fort Worth that aims to reverse litter. The Reverse Litter program has launched an on-street campaign called Ten on Tuesday, which encourages businesses, schools, community groups and individuals to reverse litter by picking up 10 pieces of trash and recyclable materials each Tuesday.
How can you get involved? It’s simple – pick up 10 pieces of litter every Tuesday and chunk them in the trash or toss them into a recycling bin. And don’t feel limited to just pick up on Tuesday! Ask your friends and encourage your co-workers to participate by creating a challenge program at your workplace. Create a new family tradition or celebrate your sports victories by having each member of the winning team pick up 10 pieces of litter. You can pick it up in your neighborhood, on the way into the office or on your daily walk.
Join the Ten on Tuesday pledge and make litter clean up a part of your daily life. To learn more about the Reverse Litter Campaign, click here.
