Student Artwork Fills Downtown Bus Shelters

Downtown bus shelters have a new bright look! As you visit, shop or work in downtown make sure you stop by the Trinity Metro bus shelters on 9th, Houston and Throckmorton to view the winners of the Expressions That Move You Art Contest. The contest is a long running partnership between Trinity Metro and FWISD's after school program designed to educate children about public transportation and encourages them to turn what they have learned into art. Artwork was received from 34 schools and 8 winners were chosen out of the 66 total submissions. Winning categories included; Grand Prize, Most Colorful, Most Creative and Best View of Transit.  With the support of Downtown Fort Worth, Inc., all the winning art is now displayed in the downtown bus shelters, through Labor Day, to congratulate the winners and help make downtown Fort Worth more vibrant. Winning students also have their artwork displayed on board Trinity Metro buses and online.
