RIDE FOR KIDS—GEAR UP TO END CHILDHOOD HUNGER comes back in 2014 led once again by Honorary Chair and Lead Rider Mayor Betsy Price. Strollers, tricycles and trainers are welcome to cruise around the Plaza on closed streets.
In addition, a "Party on the Plaza" will offer live music by the Como Elementary B-Sharp Orchestra, the McLean Chorus and the Pasticcio Band. Activities for children will include, among others,
a game truck, balloon artists, a bike rodeo, family yoga and the Texas Rangers mascot, Captain, and Texas Rangers player Vernon Wells pitching softballs to kids. The fee for the Party on the Plaza is $15 in advance ($25 the day of the ride) per child or single adult and free for parents and for children age two and younger.
