Fort Worth, get ready to honor a legacy that’s as vital today as it was when it began: The 40th Annual Greater Fort Worth Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Parade and Rally. Originally slated for Jan. 20, the event is now rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 17 due to a deep winter chill that had us all wondering if we were living in the wrong season. But now, as temperatures rise, we’re gearing up for an unforgettable tribute to Dr. King’s Dream — this time with a renewed sense of purpose and community spirit.

The Details You Need to Know:

Date & Time: Monday, Feb. 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST
Location: Fort Worth Convention Center Parking Garage, 1301 Commerce Street (Don’t forget the parking!)
Registration: This is a rain-or-shine, no-refunds (Eventbrite fees are nonrefundable) kind of event, so be sure to sign up ahead of time if you can.
Registration Fees: Individual Participants: $40 online / $45 on the day of the event. Vehicles, floats, and groups: $100 both online and onsite
The heart of the celebration kicks off at the Fort Worth Convention Center, where participants will check-in at the intersection of 9th and Main Streets. It’s an early start with check-in from 8:30 a.m. and on-site registration open from 8:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. But hey, to skip the lines and the hassle, go ahead and get those online registrations done ahead of time.

At 10 a.m., the parade line-up begins. Expect an eclectic mix of floats, classic cars, walking groups, and much more. Then, promptly at 11:00 a.m., the parade takes off.

After the parade winds its way through downtown Fort Worth, the celebration culminates at Sundance Square Plaza. This space will be the site for the event’s finale. Event organizers ask that attendees not bring any political signage, promotional materials, or any divisive rhetoric. This event is about coming together in a shared vision of peace, love, and remembrance.

So, whether you’re marching, cheering from the sidelines, or simply standing in the heart of downtown Fort Worth at Sundance Square, come be part of something larger than life. This year, we don’t just remember Dr. King. We live his Dream, together.
