Phyllis Tilley Memorial Bicycle & Pedestrian Bridge Progress
February 2,2012
The city plans to complete construction of The Phyllis Tilley Memorial Bicycle & Pedestrian Bridge in April.
The Tilley bridge, a new bicycle and pedestrian bridge which crosses the Trinity River south of the Lancaster Avenue bridge, links the east and west sides of the Trinity River bike trail system. The bridge provides a new safe, convenient route to downtown from the west side of the river .
The bridge, designed by Boston architect Miguel Rosales, features a unique 384-foot “stress ribbon” design and provides greater access to the Trinity Trails.
