December 17,2014
Overland Sheepskin Company opened its first Texas store in Fort Worth’s Sundance Square in the Old City National Bank Building. The 4,400-square-foot store is located on the first floor with an entrance on Houston Street and an entrance on 2nd Street facing the Worthington Renaissance Hotel.
“The store is absolutely gorgeous and certainly reflects the classic, rich product line that Overland carries,” said Tracy Gilmour, marketing director at Sundance Square. “This is a perfect time for Overland Sheepskin to open in Sundance Square with shoppers seeking the perfect gifts.”
Founded by the Leahy Family in Taos, New Mexico in 1973, Overland Sheepskin Company is headquartered in Fairfield, Iowa. Their unique product line features premium apparel such as shearling coats, leather jackets, hats, leather bags and gloves, sheepskin slippers and boots, along with sheepskin and cowhide rugs, and sheepskin and leather accessories and specialty products.
This is the first store in Texas for the high quality retailer, which already has a loyal Texas customer base who currently shop at Overland’s New Mexico and Colorado stores, and online at Overland.com.
Sundance Square is a successful 35-block mixed-use development featuring restored turn-of-the-century buildings and urban skyscrapers with brick-lined streets filled with restaurants, entertainment, retail, office, and residential elements.
