New Year Closing Schedule

Most city offices, including City Hall, will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 1 for the New Years Day holiday. Emergency services will be available as usual.

If your normal garbage pickup day is on Wednesday, your garbage pickup will shift to Thursday, Jan. 2; Thursday service slides to Friday, Jan. 3; Friday service slides to Saturday, Jan. 4. Normal pickup schedules resume on Monday. All residents are allowed two extra bags of garbage on their first pickup day following New Years Day. The city's three drop-off stationswill be closed on New Years Day. Additionally, the drop-off stations will close at 5 p.m. the day before the holiday. The Environmental Collection Center will be open regular hours next week: Thursday and Friday 11 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
All Fort Worth libraries will close at 2 p.m. Dec. 31 and remain closed Jan. 1.

On Dec. 31, all community centers, the Haws Athletic Center and late-night programs close at 6 p.m. Log Cabin Village is closed. On Jan. 1, all community centers, the Haws Athletic Center, late-night programs and the Log Cabin Village are closed. The Fort Worth Botanic Garden Center is closed on Jan. 1, but the Japanese Garden is open.
