Monroe Street will temporarily close on June 24 for waterline replacement

May 22,2020

Monroe Street - 10th Street to Texas Street - will be temporarily closed beginning June 24, to replace a 12-inch waterline. Staff and visitors to Fort Worth City Hall can park on 10th Street from Jennings Street west towards Burnett Park; Jennings from 10th Street  to Texas Street; and on 13th Street. Download the FW Park app, http://fortworthtexas.gov/parking/app/ to find the best spot.

The Water Customer Billing office is closed due to COVID19. Customers can pay their water bill by entering the alley that runs from Texas Street north to 10th Street, to the west of Monroe. The alley will be one way, northbound, during construction. The drop box is on the south side of the Monroe Building, between the alley and Monroe.

Those with reserved spots in the Water Customer Billing parking lot and in the council member and district director lots can only access those lots via the northbound-only alley then exit to the south, on to Texas Street. “No entry” signs are posted on the Texas Street side of both lots. Both lots are reserved parking.

Construction hours are 7 am-7 pm., Monday-Friday. If necessary, work will also be scheduled for Saturdays, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, August 3 is the projected finish date on the water line replacement. This is part of the Downtown Infrastructure Project.
