Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade And Celebration - Jan. 17 and 20

The 29th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Celebration, sponsored by the City of Fort Worth Martin Luther King Jr./Juneteenth Employee Committee, will take place at noon, on Jan. 17 in Council Chambers. The event is open to the public and the theme is “Keeping the Dream Alive … Embrace the Power of His Vision.” Keynote speaker will be former Fort Worth City Manager Bob Terrell.
The event will feature live entertainment, music, vendors and more and mistress of ceremonies will be Kelly Allen Gray, District 8 council member. To learn more, contact Andrea Dean at 817-392-5385.
This year's Downtown parade will take place on Monday, Jan. 20 and it will have the following route:
Starts at corner of 9th and Commerce
West on 9th Street
North on Houston Street
East on Belknap
South on Commerce
West on Weatherford
South on Main
Ends at Main & 3rd at Sundance Square Plaza
