Beginning Wednesday, January 7, 2026, water crews will conduct a fire hydrant leak repair at Summit Avenue and 10th Street. Two northbound lanes on Summit Avenue between Texas Street and 7th Street will be closed during repairs. Work is expected to be completed by the weekend.

I-30 Entrance Ramps Near Downtown to Close Permanently On Friday

Major traffic changes await Fort Worth motorists when the westbound Forest Park Boulevard exit from Interstate 30 and the Summit-Eighth avenues I-30 entrance ramp close permanently.

The changes take effect the evening of Friday April 18 to allow Chisholm Trail Parkway construction crews to open the westbound I-30 frontage road from Summit-Eighth avenues to University Drive.

When the ramps close, Forest Park Boulevard will be accessible from the westbound I-30 frontage road, with drivers able to use the frontage road to access I-30 from the Parkview Drive entrance ramp.
