Hunter Plaza Redevelopment

September 13,2011

The Fort Worth Housing Authority has selected a firm to redevelop the now-vacant Hunter Plaza.   Until it was closed because of a bedbug infestation, Hunter Plaza provided housing for low income people, with an emphasis on services for the elderly and those with handicaps.

After the building’s closure, the Housing Authority took a deliberate approach to selecting a highly qualified developer and accepted proposals from a number of experienced firms.  Their selection of Carlton Development (experienced in downtown Fort Worth) signals the first step in the renovation and reuse of this building.  For more information, click here for the Star-Telegram Article.
