FORT WORTH — Hubert Foster started attending the annual Fort Worth Veterans Day parade about 50 years ago.

Gwen McKisseth made her first venture to the parade on Monday.

But they and hundreds of others had one common thread as they gathered in downtown Fort Worth Monday morning: To show their support and honor military veterans for their service to the United States. Other events were held across North Texas, including Arlington and North Richland Hills.
