A local investment group has bought the historic 16-story art deco Sinclair Building in downtown Fort Worth.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that the building at 512 Main St. was sold by Sinclair Building Partners to a group called Sinclair Holdings Llc.
Sinclair Building Partners is headed by Fort Worth accountant Richard Baumeister and the group has owned the building since 2006. The names of the investors in Sinclair Holdings are not being disclosed, the Star-Telegram said. Nicholas Pappas, the attorney for the group, is listed as Sinclair Holdings manager on state filings, the newspaper said.

The Star-Telegram said that Sinclair Holdings financed the deal with a $7.1 million note from Southwest Bank in Fort Worth.
