School’s out and temperatures are on the rise. It must be time for Fort Worth’s summer concert season.

Cowtown will host many concerts this summer, including free and family-friendly shows. Here’s who and where to see concerts in Fort Worth this summer:

FREE CONCERTS IN FORT WORTH THIS SUMMER

These concerts will ease the wallet this summer:

Friday on the Green

Held at Magnolia Green Park, Friday on the Green is a free concert series held by Near Southside, Inc. Along with live music, the event has an open street market and several food trucks lined up on-site.

When: 5 p.m. start time on June 9, Sept. 8 and Oct. 19
Where: 1201 Lipscomb St.

Free concerts in Stockyards

The Rodeo Music Stage outside the Cowtown Coliseum in the Stockyards host’s free music every Friday and Saturday night. The concerts kick off just a couple hours before the Stockyards Championship Rodeo starts each night.

When: 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday night
Where: 121 E. Exchange Ave.

Lunchtime concerts at Burnett Park

For a lunchtime treat, head to Burnett Park near downtown for free live music on Wednesdays. Programming is provided by Burke Plaza.

When: Noon to 1 p.m. June 7 and 14
Where: 501 W 7th St.

Sundance Square free shows

Every weekend, Sundance Square hosts free live music in its plaza. The schedule of who’s performing every week is regularly shared on the venue’s Instagram account.

When: 7 to 10 p.m. every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Where: 420 Main St.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY CONCERTS IN FORT WORTH

Several Cowtown venues are hosting family-friendly events this summer.

Concerts in the Garden

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is in the midst of its Concerts in the Garden series held at the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. Families are encouraged to bring a blanket and hangout in the Gardens with orchestra tributes to Led Zeppelin, the music of the ‘80s and “Star Wars”.

When: 8:30 p.m. from June 1-11

Broadway at the Bass

While not exactly a concert, Bass Hall is continuing its “Broadway at the Bass” series this summer. Here, families can attend a variety of musicals, including an adaption of the 2013 film “Frozen”, coming later this summer.
