Fort Worth Vaqueros and FitWorth Announce Soccer And Networking Series

business professionals

FORT WORTH - As part of the Fort Worth Vaqueros’ commitment to the community, promoting physical fitness and facilitating business
in Fort Worth; the Vaqueros in conjunction with FitWorth have announced the first five dates for their Vaqueros Kick-Around & Networking Series.
The first round of the Wednesday night series runs March 12 and 19, April 9 and 23 and May 7.

The Vaqueros Kick-Around & Networking begins at 6 p.m. with relaxed, small-sided soccer games with other Fort Worth business professionals. Games will be held on the outfield grass at LaGrave Field, home of the Fort Worth Vaqueros. Networking follows the matches with drinks at 7 p.m.
Tobias Xavier Lopez, the Vaqueros director of business operations said soccer players are some of the fittest athletes in the world so it makes sense that the Vaqueros establish a networking series in conjunction with FitWorth.

“The Vaqueros couldn’t host a pie eating contest for a networking event,” Lopez said. “We have all been to networking events that are just the same old thing. So what makes more sense considering fans are already excited about this summer’s FIFA World Cup then to have active networking sessions? What working professional wouldn’t enjoy a kick around on the lush LaGrave Field with the Fort Worth skyline as a backdrop?”

The Vaqueros Kick-Around & Networking Series is $25 per date (if reserved in advance) or $30 for walk-up participants. Networkers receive a Vaqueros t-shirt, a general admission game ticket and complimentary drinks (beer, wine or soft drinks courtesy of Dr Pepper Snapple Group Fort Worth).

Businesses or business professionals can purchase all 10 dates, price is $200 (saving $100 on the walk up price) and includes one general admission season ticket for the 2014 Vaqueros season, which includes an authentic Vaqueros jersey. Vaqueros Kick-Around & Networking passes are transferable so you can send someone in your place. Vaqueros season seat holders can reserve Kick-Around & Networking passes for only $20 (saving $5 per date.)

An additional five opportunities will be announced once the Fort Worth Cats schedule is released. Sponsorship opportunities are available for Fort Worth area companies to become a presenting sponsor of the entire Kick-Around & Networking series or to co-host one of the events.
