After a year of growth and change, the Fort Worth Public Library has compiled an annual report for the community to highlight major accomplishments and to help chart a path forward for 2025.

“I am especially proud to be part of a team that completed several major projects while simultaneously delivering exceptional services and programs to the residents and guests of Fort Worth,” Library Director Midori Clark said. “It was an honor to work alongside a talented team of 267 employees.”

The report is available on the library’s website at fwpl.info/2024report and can be downloaded or printed. A brief highlight video is also available on the Library’s YouTube Channel.

Major accomplishments in 2024 include:

• Opening the Downtown Express Library in former City Hall
• Opening District 7’s first library, the Clifford Crossing Branch
• More than 45,000 new library cards issued
• More than 10,000 library programs conducted
• More than 112,000 attendees at programs
• More than 1.14 million total visitors, a 14 percent increase over 2023
• More than 4 million items checked out, a 16 percent increase over 2023
• More than 4.5 million minutes read during the summer reading program
• More than 260,000 added items to the library’s collection

“While we celebrate these achievements and others in this report, we are eagerly looking to engage with our community in more ways and support the dynamic growth of this great City,” Clark said. “We hope to see residents at one of our 20 locations soon.”
