Fort Worth law firm to take top floor in Pier 1 building

Cotten Schmidt &Abbott LLP is relocating their office to the penthouse floor of the Pier 1 Imports Building. The law firm has signed a lease for 10,183-square-foot space of office space in the building at 100 Energy Way on the west side of downtown Fort Worth.

JLL’s Pat McDowell represented the law firm in the transaction and JLL’s Todd Burnette represented the landlord in the lease.

According to McDowell, the new location gives the law firm great access to downtown and West Seventh amenities, including a variety of restaurants and meeting locations.

When Houston-based Hines acquired the 20-story, 460,000-square-foot building from Cheasapeake Energy in 2014, the energy company retained the top three floors for its local operations. Pier 1, which originally built the tower . With Chesapeake Energy no longer in the building, the top three floors were available for lease.

Cotten Schmidt & Abbott will be moving from 550 Bailey St.
