Sundance Square has a scoop: The third Melt Ice Creams will open in July next door to Reata.

Fresh off a successful opening in Dallas, Kari Crowe-Seher’s all-natural ice cream shop will move in at 308 Houston St., replacing a Paciugo.

Sundance executive Johnny Campbell called Melt “a great example of a successful locally owned and operated company that is expanding its brand.”

The flagship location at 1201 W. Magnolia Ave. is known not only for its flavors but also as a popular Instagram backdrop.

Melt opened last week in Dallas’ Oak Cliff neighborhood at 405 N. Bishop Ave.

Melt always offers flavors like chocolate and “cookie crack.” Current flavors include “Salt Lick,” “Cup of Texas,” “Velvet Vegan” and an ice cream sandwich called the “Always Sammie.”

Melt opened in 2013 and has previously operated a pushcart in Sundance Square Plaza.
