Fort Worth Bike Sharing Offers Discounted 24-hour Passes To Hotel Guests
August 14,2013
Fort Worth Bike Sharing is pleased to announce the launch of its hotel discount day pass program. Thanks to a generous grant from the Fort Worth Promotion and
Development Fund, Fort Worth Bike Sharing is able to subsidize the cost of 2,500 24-hour passes.
These passes, normally $8, will be offered to area hotels for $4 apiece. Hotels can then distribute them to guests for $0 to $4. The system usage fee structure still applies.
Three hotels have already signed up to participate: Omni Hotel Fort Worth, Marriott Courtyard Blackstone and Marriott Residence Inn Cultural District. Hotels receive one free helmet for every 50 24-hour passes they order.
Bike sharing offers locals and visitors alike a new option for getting around Central Fort Worth. Tourists can ride to stations at the Convention Center, Sundance Square, Will Rogers Memorial Center, Cultural District, and TCU, among others.
Through the first three months of operation, nearly half of all 24-hour passes (45%) are purchased by out-of-towners. Residents of four other countries and 42 other
states have purchased 24-hour passes.
