Facade improvements for the Hogan/Shelton Building
January 15,2013
Façade improvements are underway at the Hogan/Shelton Building located at 910 Houston Street (the southeast corner of Houston and 8th Streets). The building was originally constructed in 1900. The original building was designed in a classic revival style and the exterior was renovated to the Art Deco style in 1937. VERUS Capital Partners, the building owners, are rehabilitating the building to resemble its original architectural appearance. The architecture firm is Hahnfeld Hoffer Stanford. The contractor is Commercial Construction Group. FedEx-Office will remain on the northwest corner of the first floor along with a small restaurant facing Houston Street. The 2nd & 3rd floors will house office space and the basement a restaurant or entertainment venue. Look for the project to be completed in the Fall of 2013.
