DALLAS – To celebrate its fifth year, North Texas Giving Day aims to exceed last year’s record-breaking 37,800 donations totaling $14.4 million. The nearly all-day event will be held September 19, 2013. That day, donations of $25 or more can be made 7 a.m. to midnight to more than 1,000 certified nonprofits listed on www.DonorBridgeTx.org. Those donations will be amplified by more than $1.5 million dollars in bonus funds and prizes.
“Each year, the generosity of North Texans on Giving Day is astounding,” said Brent Christopher, president and CEO, Communities Foundation of Texas and DonorBridge founder. “Over the past four years, North Texas Giving Day has brought thousands of North Texans together to raise more than $34 million dollars. We hope this year we’ll raise even more to fuel the important work of nonprofits serving our local communities.”
