Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. earns award from the International Downtown Association
September 21,2017
During its 63rd Annual Conference and Tradeshow in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada this week, the International Downtown Association recognized Downtown Fort Worth, Inc and the City of Fort Worth with the Downtown Achievement Award of Excellence in the category of Leadership and Management for its work and initiatives related to the update, expansion and process for the Downtown Urban Design Standards and Guidelines.
The Award of Excellence acknowledges innovative best practice entries which exceeded the juror criteria. This Leadership and Management category features unique organizational approaches, projects, etc. that improve the effectiveness of downtown management organizations.
We want to thank both our partners at the City of Fort Worth and the DFWI members who have participated in this committee and dedicated their time for more than a few hours every month. Their support in reviewing and helping staff to formulate a recommendation to the Downtown Design Review Board is truly priceless and is reflected in the high quality of design that we see downtown.
