TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Klyde Warren Park

Klyde Warren Park serves as a central gathering space for Dallas and its visitors. The 5.2-acre deck park, designed by The Office of James Burnett, is an urban green space built over the recessed Woodall Rodgers Freeway between Pearl and St. Paul streets. Klyde Warren Park is a highly active space, providing daily free programming ranging from yoga to book signings to outdoor concerts and films. The park is privately operated and managed by the Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation.

Belo Garden

Belo Garden, an outdoor attraction in the heart of Downtown Dallas, is a 1.7 acre urban oasis filled with more than 100 trees and more than 10,000 individual ornamental grasses, seasonal flowers and decorative shrubs to explore and enjoy. Belo Garden, the second park in the Downtown Parks Master Plan to be completed, is the result of a partnership and joint funding effort by Belo Corp., The Belo Foundation, Maureen and Robert Decherd, and the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department.

Pegasus Plaza

The Pegasus has long been recognized as the symbol of Dallas. Located in the heart of downtown in Dallas City Center, Pegasus Plaza at City Center features a hot spring fountain and is frequently the site of special events. Pegasus Plaza was created as the centerpiece of a restoration program for the historic Main Street District. Constructed on a corner parking lot, the 16,000-sq. ft. was opened in 1994. Pegasus Plaza is currently undergoing improvements managed by the partnership of Downtown Dallas, Inc., City of Dallas Parks and Recreation Department and Studio Outside.

Main Street Garden

Located in the center of downtown Dallas, Main Street Garden is a public park, owned and developed by the City of Dallas and is programmed and managed by Downtown Dallas, Inc. Spanning a full city block bordered by Main Street, St. Paul, Commerce and Harwood, Main Street Garden is surrounded by historical architecturally significant buildings such as Mercantile Place, the Universities Center at Dallas and Old City Hall (the future University of North Texas School of Law.) The park is free to the public.
