DFWI To Host 32nd Annual Meeting On March 27, 2014

Please join us for our annual meeting, titled "You Have a Downtown Plan. Why Others Should Care." The meeting will take place on Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m at the Hilton Fort Worth Hotel (815 Main Street).
The featured guest speaker is Donald J. Borut, whose career in municipal government and organizational leadership spans more than 40 years. Mr. Borut served as the Executive Director of the National League of Cities from 1990 - 2012, managing the nation’s oldest and largest national organization which represents municipal governments, including 1600 direct member cities and over 18,000 cities, towns and villages through a network of state municipal organizations.
On display and available for silent auction during the event will be five large mounted historic Downtown plat map reproductions dated 7/12/1944, 4/1/1947, 7/15/1957, 4/1/1962 & 4/1/1965. The maps are a generous donation from Barney Holland of Fuelman of DFW and represent an intriguing window into Downtown’s past, showing every merchant that occupied ground floor space in our center city.
