DFWI 7th Street Bridge Tour

DFWI members attended a tour of the 7th Street Bridge Span casting yard on December 13. Our members hopped aboard Molly the Trolley for a quick trip across the river and saw a brief presentation before touring the yard. Eight of the 12 massive arched spans were lined up in the yard and tour attendees were able to walk under them while hearing our tour guide explain the engineering that made them possible. These are the first precast network arch spans ever created. If you aren't a member of DFWI, you are missing out on these kinds of invitations!
