Beginning Wednesday, January 7, 2026, water crews will conduct a fire hydrant leak repair at Summit Avenue and 10th Street. Two northbound lanes on Summit Avenue between Texas Street and 7th Street will be closed during repairs. Work is expected to be completed by the weekend.

Closure of Northbound I-35 Connector to Westbound Spur 280

Beginning on Friday, January 30th the northbound I-35W direct connector exit to Spur 280/Downtown will be closed for approximately one year.

The recommended detours from northbound I-35W are Lancaster Avenue or exit Pharr St., turn left and enter ramp to southbound 35W and then exit 52A to Spur 280/Downtown
