7th Street E-alert: Overnight Closure Tonight for Installation of Arch #3

WHEN: Tuesday, May 14th, 8 p.m. to Wednesday, May 15th, 5 a.m. (weather permitting)

WHERE: The West 7th Street bridge closure from Penn Street to Stayton Street in Fort Worth

WHAT: Crews are scheduled to install Arch #3 starting at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14th. West 7th Street will be closed between Penn Street and Stayton Street to allow for crews to safely move the arch. The bridge will reopen to traffic (one lane in each direction) by 5 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15th. Access to local businesses will be maintained and off duty officers will be present to help direct traffic flow.

The W. 7th Street bridge is a gateway between downtown Fort Worth and its cultural district, and through the partnership of the city of Fort Worth and TxDOT, a new reinforced concrete "thru-arch" signature bridge will be constructed.
