West 7th Street Bridge over the Trinity River, right lane closed for westbound traffic
WHAT:
Construction crews will be closing the right lane in the westbound direction of the West 7th Street Bridge over the Trinity River on a daily basis starting on Wednesday, March 6th and ending on Friday, March 8th. The single lane closure will be in place from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for three days to allow crews to safely install drill shafts for new retaining walls.
The West 7th Street Bridge project is a collaborative effort between the City of Fort Worth, TxDOT and Sundt Construction that involves the replacement of the aging bridge with a new signature bridge. The new bridge will be the world's first pre-cast network arch bridge. Overall project completion is scheduled for January 2014 and the new bridge is scheduled to open to traffic prior to Thanksgiving this year.
