The 2013 Chesapeake Energy Parade Of Lights, presented by CHASE, will start the Holiday Season in style, with over 100 highly illuminated entries, on November 29, 2013.
Volunteer to Help Illuminate Downtown Fort Worth!
Sign up to assist in making the 2013 Chesapeake Energy Parade of Lights the best ever! Listed below are the various areas where help is needed. If you have any questions, please contact us at volunteerinfo@dfwi.org.
- Holiday Fun Zone Team - The Holiday Fun Zone will be located in the new Sundance Square Plaza. You will interact with visitors to this area while they enjoy free activities, including crafts and holiday entertainment. (10 openings)
- Hospitality Area: Gold Seats - Volunteers will help manage a single Gold Seat section, and will work with Seating Captains to set up, re-stack and label the chairs in the section as well as ensure everyone in the section has a reserved seat ticket. This assignment opportunity is great for folks that want to work in groups and great for organizations and clubs that want to work together. A chair will be provided in this section for you to watch the parade and the section. Refreshments and private restroom facilities are part of the Gold Seat amenities. (38 openings)
- Hospitality Area: VIP - Volunteers will help setup the VIP area as well as greet and help our dignitaries before, during and after the parade. Light appetizers, refreshments and private restrooms are available to our guests in this area. (12 openings)
- Merchandise Sales - Stationed throughout the Parade route, Merchandise Sales Volunteers will offer all merchandise for sale to the public. Groups are welcome to sign up for this opportunity. (12 openings)
- Merchandise Support - Assist Merchandise Manager in keeping all sales locations stocked with Parade merchandise. (6 openings)

Parade Marshals – If you like the idea of being a part of the parade and wearing a cool shirt then this is one of our most important Parade Volunteer positions! Parade Marshals are assigned to each Parade entry, making sure equipment is working properly and entries are keeping the pace. You must be able to walk the
complete parade route of 1.5 miles. (200 openings) - Review Stand Support - Work in a review stand, helping the commentators stay on track with the entries and letting them know of discrepancies. (11 openings)
- Seating Associate - Each reserved seat section is limited this year to only 48 seats. Seating Assistants will help manage a single section, and will work with Seating Captains to set up, re-stack and label the chairs in the section as well as ensure everyone in the section has a reserved seat ticket. This assignment opportunity is great for folks that want to work in groups and great for organizations and clubs that want to work together. A chair will be provided in this section for you to watch the parade and the section. (210 openings)
- Staging Area: Bands - Help our Logistics team with check-in, distributing entry numbers, verifying lighting requirements and ensuring participants enter the parade in the correct order. (6 openings)

- Staging Area: Floats - Help our Logistics team with check-in, distributing entry numbers, verifying lighting requirements and ensuring participants enter the parade in the correct order. (10 openings)
- Staging Area: Walking Units - Help our Logistics team with check-in, distributing entry numbers, verifying lighting requirements and ensuring participants enter the parade in the correct order. (10 openings)
- Volunteer Support Team - Assist the Volunteer Manager by greeting, distributing items to volunteers as they check-in and directing them to their assigned locations. (8 openings - 2 shifts)
- Volunteer Support Team: Parade Staging Area- Assist the Volunteer Event Team by greeting, distributing items to volunteers as they check-in and directing them to their assigned locations. This assignment is located in the Panther Island Parking Area. (6 openings)
