Lamar Street Two-Way Conversion
Address
Lamar Street
Fort Worth, TX Fort Worth
Details
In March 2020, the new Hemphill Lamar tunnel is anticipated to open, connecting Downtown and the Near Southside. Currently, Lamar St. directs traffic one-way from 5th St. to Texas St. Converting this to a two-way street will allow for better connectivity into the core of Downtown. The project is anticipated to execute in two phases. Phase 1 would be signal and restriping. Phase 2 would include resurfacing and ADA sidewalk ramps.
