The exhibit, Charles M. Russell: Storyteller Across Media, features the many narratives the artist shared through his art. Most of Russell’s stories took place across the Great Plains of the American West. How has this region taken hold in the American imagination, both past and present? Writer and humorist Ian Frazier recounts the many stories he encounters during his travels through its wide open spaces in his book Great Plains.
