Matthew Banks is a Dallas based jazz clarinetist, saxophonist, and bassoonist. A native Texan, Matt specializes in Swing and other early varieties of jazz, often playing on instruments a hundred years old or more to evoke the sound of the era. While normally performing here at Scat with the Black Powder Vipers, tonight Matt leads his own top notch quintet. Come by for the finest swing anthems of the 30s, frenetic Bebop of the 40s, gut-bucket Blues and more. 8pm & 10pm seatings.
