Elizabeth M. Beck
Current District 9 City Councilmember Elizabeth M. Beck was sworn in as a member of the City Council on June 15, 2021. Elizabeth is a mother, veteran, lawyer, and lifelong resident of Fort Worth.
Elizabeth is a mother, veteran, lawyer, and lifelong resident of Fort Worth. After graduating from Southwest High School, she joined the U.S. Army Reserves, where she spent eight and a half years in the 223rd Maintenance Company based out of Grand Prairie. In 2005, she deployed as a Sergeant to Taji, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Weeks after returning from Iraq, Elizabeth was attending classes to complete her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Texas at Arlington. While completing her Master's in City and Regional Planning at the University of Texas at Arlington, she began working full-time as a transportation planner at the North Central Texas Council of Governments.
While at the Council of Governments, Elizabeth again served her community on a wide range of projects, including protecting NAS JRB, Fort Worth, through compatible development, environmental justice, and civil rights compliance.
Elizabeth’s need to fight to make her community a better place led her to Texas A&M School of Law, where she earned her law degree. As a lawyer, Elizabeth represents employees across the country in wage and hour claims.
Elizabeth currently raises her two children, a three-legged dog, and a three-legged cat in District 9’s South Hills Neighborhood.

Jenny Stewart
Jenny Stewart is a fifth-generation Fort Worth native, running for City Council in District 9 to bring her business experience, problem-solving mindset, and community dedication to local government. With a degree in chemical engineering from UT Austin, Jenny built a successful career working across the globe before returning to her roots in Fort Worth to be with her family. She soon launched her own State Farm agency, which she has run successfully for 20 years.
Jenny’s personal life has deepened her connection to Fort Worth’s diverse community. Her partner, Solaris Freire Cardero, a Cuban immigrant, brought his family to the U.S. after a challenging journey through the immigration system. Together, they are raising Solaris’s young son, Lian, and Jenny’s commitment to the Hispanic community has grown as she’s learned Spanish and connected with her neighbors.
Active in civic service, Jenny has held leadership roles in the Saginaw Area Chamber of Commerce, Eagle Mountain Saginaw Rotary, and Fort Worth Junior Woman’s Club. Now, she’s focused on bringing her dedication and perspective to District 9, where she’ll prioritize constituent service and work toward a brighter future for Fort Worth.
