ALIVE AT THE BASS: A Musical Epiphany will be an extraordinary musical celebration highlighted by the World Premiere of “The Tyger & The Lamb” by internationally renowned composer Ola Gjeilo.  Mr. Gjeilo is redefining classical choral music with his hybrid compositional style that draws inspiration from improvisational jazz, established classical music structures, as well as cinema and film scores.  This brand new work will feature a 140-voice festival choir, strings, piano and harp under the direction of Todd Prickett.

The complete program originally scheduled for March 2020 will be performed in its entirety.  It will also include George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” described by many as the most popular of all American concert works.  It will be performed by Fort Worth’s own Janet Pummill along with a full professional orchestra.  Other highlights will include performances by soprano Amy Prickett and pianist Amy Stewart, majestic hymn arrangements, and favorite Irish melodies.  Presented by University Christian Church, you are invited to seek the sacred ALIVE AT THE BASS!
