Details
Burnett Park is a lovely oasis in the hustle and bustle of Downtown Fort Worth. This beautiful, three-acre urban park is the largest open space in downtown. Designed by renowned landscape architect Peter Walker, Burnett Park offers play space for children, an open lawn and electrical supply for events, seating and public art. All within easy walking distance to hotels, restaurants, office buildings, the convention center and everything downtown has to offer. After hours parking is also readily available.
Recent improvements have made Burnett Park more enjoyable than ever. Using grant funds from the Burnett Foundation and the City of Fort Worth, DFWII has replaced the two recreational area surfaces in Burnett Park with new, artificial turf and padding beneath. Thanks to funding assistance from Burnett Plaza, a second deck was added to the south side of the park. This new deck increases the area available for programming and provides more room for new park furniture. New perimeter tree lighting has been added, creating brighter sidewalks surrounding the park.
