The Carnegie Public Library was built in 1901 with a $50,000 grant from the Carnegie Foundation. It was not only a depository for books, but served as an art gallery, historical museum, theater, and cultural center for almost four decades. This building currently stands across the street from the Fort Worth Central Library. |
